New Work

ARTISTIC INSPIRATION

What is beyond the road, what lies just over the horizon? This inspires me to paint the beauty found in nature, particularly the landscapes of Oregon. As an artist I'm drawn to the challenge of the blank canvas, choosing color, line and contrast to communicate emotion and mystery. The power of light against dark, the zing of complementary colors, the weight of lines with their ability to lead the viewer through a painting pull me in and keep me coming back to the studio. Challenges await, pushing and expanding me to embrace that next level, that next step.
